Today we are excited to announce the release of brand new improvements to Event Tickets’ order management system.
This release is part of our ongoing effort to make Event Tickets a complete solution for anyone selling tickets online–full stop. No other plugins required.
As of today, ticket sellers using Tickets Commerce (the native eCommerce engine of Event Tickets) have a single screen where all ticket orders live and the ability to drill down into individual orders with a single click.
Let’s take a closer look!
The New Tickets Commerce Order Management System
WooCommerce is great, but it’s also overkill for many ticket sellers. That’s why we created Tickets Commerce. All it does is sell tickets, which means we can create a simpler, more streamlined selling experience for folks who don’t need to worry about things like shipping or t-shirt sizes.
We released the first part of the new order management system in Event Tickets 5.12.0. This introduced the Orders screen. To see this screen, first go to Tickets > Settings > Payments and then enable Tickets Commerce.
Once enabled, you will see the new Orders option in the Tickets sidebar menu. Click that to go to the new Orders screen.
This new screen is where all ticket orders live (well, those processed by Tickets Commerce). Here you can:
- Search tickets by ID or email
- View tickets by status
- Filter tickets by date, events, or customers.
All of which make it extremely easy to find the order or orders you’re looking for when managing ticket sales. Especially when you don’t have to sift through other types of sales unrelated to tickets!
Now, with today’s release of Event Tickets 5.13.3, you can also drill down into individual orders by clicking on the order number link.
On this new Order details screen you can view all of the information associated with a ticket order.
These first two order management releases are literally just the beginning. They are the foundation we plan to build a lot of cool features on top of in 2025. We just needed somewhere to put them! So keep an eye on your inbox for the next phase of Event Tickets Order Management
We’re planning functionality such as being able to re-issue tickets, refund orders, add manual orders, and change order states. Features that will continue to make Event Tickets the best solution for selling tickets on WordPress.
Up Next: Tickets Home Screen
We’ve got a busy fall season of product updates ahead of us. Next week we’ll be releasing an Event Tickets update that includes the brand new Tickets home screen.
Similar to the Orders screen (where all ticket orders live) the new Tickets home screen will be where all of your tickets live. No more hunting for tickets by going to individual events! But of course, there’s a bit more to it than that.
Stay tuned for full details next week!
