Today we’re excited to announce a change in The Events Calendar product line-up. For over 10 years now The Events Calendar has been the number one calendar and ticketing solution in the WordPress space.
Over the years we’ve introduced a raft of updates, new add-ons and continued innovating.
Today we want to share with you important updates to our product line and also announce some exciting new features that are coming soon.

What’s Changing?
At TEC our commitment is to our customers and like other companies we’ve been carefully evaluating a price increase for months, and while doing this have also evaluated the product line. That’s led us to the change we’re announcing today.
With immediate effect and the release of today’s update the following is happening;
- Wallet Plus — our powerful and easy to use Apple Wallet and PDF tickets solutions for Event Tickets has been merged into Event Tickets Pro. Further cementing Event Tickets as the best-in-class solution.
- Virtual Events — the easiest way to create virtual events on your WordPress website which was an add-on for The Events Calendar product has today been merged into The Events Calendar Pro.
- Event Automator — the best way to connect either The Events Calendar or Event Tickets to powerful automation solutions like Zapier and Microsoft power automate has today been merged into both The Events Calendar Pro, and Event Tickets Pro.
This simplifies the product line and gives everyone access to these great features without needing to purchase an add-on.
Community Events and Community Tickets
For our community submission users, we’ve decided to merge Community Events and Community Tickets into one mega-community plugin! Now, you’ll have access to all of the community plugin features in a new plugin called Community. And with Event Tickets Plus, you’ll also unlock additional capabilities for front end ticket creation.
Requiring an extra plugin for that ticketing functionality added extra complexity and this simplification should encourage more use here.

While the prices are increasing which can be seen above we believe that the Events Calendar product suite still offers incredible value and in some instances customers will even end up paying less if they currently have add-ons that are being merged into the primary pro products.

Like we teased at the beginning of the post we have a lot of exciting updates left for the year. This isn’t an exhaustive list but here’s some highlights.
A refreshed admin for The Events Calendar to make it easier than ever to manage The Events Calendar.
Our much requested waitlist functionality, both coupons and booking fees for Event Tickets and the biggest one of them all? Our brand new seating product to build the seat layouts of your dreams.
